The procedure to follow to obtain the exporter/importer status can be done in three different stages;
Registration in the trade and chattel loan register.
Securing of the trader card.
Securing of the exporter/importer card.

Most business men have a poor knowledge of the rules and regulations guiding export trade in Cameroon and this is a major challenge.Obtaining your export license allows exporters to conveniently carry out shipment of commodities approved by the government.
There are documents and requirements to be followed before one can obtain his export licence;
1.Registration in the trade and chattel register.
Firstly,in the case of private individuals or sole proprietorship
A hand-written application with a one thousand francs CFA stamp
A copy of ones birth certificate
A copy of the criminal records or any other document serving as such
A residence certificate
A copy of a land ownership title or lease contract for the main establishment if applicable
A copy of the acquisition act or the leasing management agreement in case of goodwill acquisition or lease management.
A copy of the notarial Identification card .
For married individuals
A copy of the married certificate.
A marital authorisation.
Secondly in the case of cooperate bodies/partnerships,
A hand writting application with one thousand francs CFA stamp.
Two copies of the tax clearance status and conformity certificate or of the notarial declaration of payment suscription.
Two copies of the certified list managing director,directors or associates held indefinitely and personally accountable or having authority to commit the company.
Two copies of the criminal records.
2.Securing the professional trader’s card
Get and fill in the required form.
A testified true copy of the national identification card for private individuals and the articles of incorporation for bodies cooperate.
A money order .
A pre-established location plan.
A copy of the license trader.
3.Registration in the exporter / importer register.
A detail sheet to be withdrawn
A hand written application with a stamp of five hundred francs.
A certified true copy of an entry into the trade register.
A copy of the tax payer’s card to be issued.
A certified true copy of the valid exporter license .
A receipt of payment.
An affidavit for cocoa,coffee,timber,medicinal herbs exporters.
