4 General steps to take for the creation and opening of a school
We have been receiving a lot of messages recently on how to register a school in Cameroon. Most of the investors who contact me always fail to precise the category of school they intend to register and so before diving into the steps and requirements, I will distinguish between the types of schools an investor or promoter can register which are;
-General private secondary school
-Private general and technical secondary school
-Private teacher training college
-an extension of a private teacher training college etc
The requirements for the creation and opening differ but today I will highlight the requirements for the creation of a general private secondary school only. see the full article in articles for the requirements.
First Step
-Purchase land of at least 1000m2/2500m2 and obtain a building permit(see a competent notary).
-Register your school either as a company or an association(get a lawyer to follow up on the registration process)
- what are your qualifications? A founder or promoter of a school should have minimal academic credentials.
-Compile and file the required documents for the opening of the school.
